Oh my god my carpet has ripples,Why?
So your carpet has ripples and loose bubbles does it?
To think, when you got your new carpet installed it was so pretty and new, you wanted to sleep on it, play with the kids on it, roll around with the dog on it, and MAYBE even do "bad things" with your significant other on it! Now it looks terrible with all the ripples in it, and leaves you questioning, 'why did this happen to me?' I paid good money for this carpet! I even called the carpet company that put it in and they told me sorry ma'am you only have a one year warranty on your installation and its been 366 days. Whoops sorry hahahahaha! Bastards!
How did this happen to your beautiful carpet? It happened because it wasn't installed properly!
Most installers use what they call a kicker where they bash there knee against a funny looking piece of metal with teeth. Well, after like five minutes of this bashing and ten years worth of kicking carpet it hurts like hell! So the installer ends up kicking lightly to avoid hurting himself, and alas, improper installation.
AND THAT MY FRIEND IS WHY U HAVE RIPPLES!
How to avoid this in the future? Make sure your installer uses a power stretcher. A power stretcher is controlled by the installers arm and hand rather than his knee, using a pushing motion rather than a bashing motion. Also, make sure your carpet company gives you a lifetime warranty on the carpet installation, therefore, if there's any ripples they will come back and fix them for free!
